On gaining her teaching qualifications in 1982 she then embarked on a professional career dancing in cabaret, on cruise liners around the Carribean and on TV, including ‘Come Dancing’! After being signed up with an agency Julie also appeared as an extra on TV, including ‘Shine on Harvey Moon’ starring Stephanie Beecham, ‘Aufwiedersehen Pet’ and various documentaries.
With the support of her parents, her dream of becoming a dance teacher became reality, when in 1988 she opened her own school. Since then 100’s of girls & boys have enjoyed dancing either as a hobby or following in her footsteps on to the professional stage. Julie has enjoyed choreographing her own productions and continues to teach the IDTA syllabus in her own studio.
